What distinguishes these as the best?

New Zealand is a fantastic nation in every way! We hand-picked these locations for their all-around appeal. Large cities provide more options for study abroad programmes. Smaller cities are more centrally placed, so your weekends will be jam-packed with exciting activities. All of the sites feature beautiful beaches and natural wonders, as well as exquisite food and fascinating culture. All of the sites on our list will provide you with a great study abroad experience, from mountain peaks to traditional Maori cuisine like hngi.

Best places to study abroad in New Zealand

1.Hamilton

Hamilton is New Zealand’s fourth biggest city, so you’ll get the big city vibe with less traffic and pollution. In addition, Rotorua, one hour away, has excellent, calming, boiling mud baths. And, of course, in New Zealand, you’re never far from a beautiful beach!

Mount Maunganui’s golden sand beaches are also nearby for all of your beach-going needs. Every year, people flock to Hamilton for athletic events including as rugby, cycling, rowing, and racing. The city stadium, Waikato Stadium, seats approximately 25,000 people and is a must-see attraction in Hamilton.

2. Auckland

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest metropolis, with a population of over 1.6 million people and five major institutions. The University of Auckland, one of the schools, is the country’s largest university, with about 40,000 students. There are several chances to study abroad in this city! Because the city is such a cultural centre, many events focus on Maori culture, art, and history.

Auckland is also well-known for being a Lord of the Rings shooting site. The beautiful and diverse scenery and surroundings make it an ideal place for film studies. However, because to the city’s sheer vastness, you may choose practically any sort of programme and topic to focus in during your study abroad.

3. Wellington

Wellington is a beautiful city where New Zealand’s wildness meets trendy coffee shops and innovative arts programmes. There are other outdoor attractions nearby, including as Mount Victoria Lookout and the Zealandia refuge at Karori. However, Wellington is more known for its culture! The city is teeming with restaurants and bars, with more restaurants and bars per capita than even New York City.

It is also the country’s self-proclaimed coffee capital. You simply need to glance around the corner for the nearest cafe to obtain one of the nicest flat whites you’ve ever eaten. Looking for something else than coffee and restaurants? The Te Papa Museum, a world-renowned museum, is also located in Wellington.

4. Christchurch

Christchurch, nicknamed “The Garden City,” will welcome you with open arms with its beautiful green environment and plenty of public parks and gardens! Christchurch is noted for its English background and has a very western cultural flair. With its high, sloping roofs and lace and lattice work decorations, Gothic Revival architecture transports you back in time. Although Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island, it retains a small-town atmosphere.

And, of course, New Zealand’s famed adventure and natural beauty are never far away. Christchurch has incredible activities, such as a high-ropes course in Adrenalin Forest. When you visit, you’ll have plenty to keep your adventurous spirit pleased with surfing, rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, and kite surfing.
