Arial Silk Classes
Aerial Silk (also known as “fabric” or “tissu”) is a type of aerial device made up of two pieces of fabric stretched from the ceiling. You will learn how to climb and wrap the silks around your body to create various grips and “locks.” Silk sessions can help you improve your upper body strength, flexibility, and coordination. If you lack any of these abilities, don’t worry. We will teach you all you need to know to get started.

Inter level Silk Classes
If you’ve never taken Aerial Silk before and are new to aerial dance, this is the class for you! You’ll start with a series of strength, flexibility, and conditioning exercises to assist prepare you for the transfer into the air later on. You will learn fundamental climbing abilities, wrist and foot locks, and how to do inversions using the cloth. After you’ve mastered these principles, you’ll be ready to begin Aerial Silk-Level 1. We recommend that you take Intro to Silk at least 5 times before enrolling in Aerial Silk – Level 1.
Level 1 Silk Classes
Aerial Silk Level 1 will help you improve your strength, stamina, and stability. This session will begin with fundamental abilities and conditioning before moving to more sophisticated postures and tricks, as well as longer aerial movement sequences.
Requirements:
- Must have completed at least 5 Intro to Silks classes and be approved to advance to Level 1.
- Figure-8 foot locks in the air must be performed.
- The ability to ascend to the top of the cloth on both sides is required.
- Wrist locks and holding the top of a pull-up for 3 seconds are required.
