American Military University, the nation’s leading supplier of higher education to the military, has been named the top choice for veterans using their GI Bill benefits across the country.
According to Military Times, based on Department of Defense tuition aid and Veterans Administration student enrollment data for FY 2019, the year is 2020.

How to apply for Transcript:
- There are three options for receiving a copy of your academic transcripts from the university:
- Official electronic transcript ($10 fee)
- Official paper transcript ($20 fee)
- Unofficial electronic transcript ($5 fee)
Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express accepted
- Requests for transcripts must be made through campus. During normal business hours, they are handled electronically and completed and released within 90 minutes to 24 hours.
- The request will be declined if a student has a hold on their account, and you will be notified through email. The following are examples of holds, however, they are not exhaustive:
- not yet submitted all of your required admission documents and have an incomplete admission status
- a balance due on your student account
- never attended an APUS course (or passed an APUS competency exam) beyond the first week
- If you are unable to access your campus and need a transcript, please email APUStranscripts@apus.edu or call 877-755-2787 to talk with a member of the Registrar’s Office.
- The campus provides a free degree progress report at any time. It displays your academic plan and details all of your courses, grades, and GPA.
Is American Military University Accredited?
The Higher Learning Commission has approved AMU as part of the American Public University System (APUS) (HLC). The HLC, which is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, accredits degree-granting schools in a 19-state region.
